Community Meals

Sharing our love for food.

Let’s eat, together.

Food is such an important part of our family, and we’re grateful to be able to gather around the table to eat, laugh, and share with one another. However, today, individuals and families in our community have difficulities putting food on the table. And we want to lend a helping hand.

We would like to share one delicious meal with any individual in need.
After all, sharing our love for food is at the heart of why we do what we do.

Let us share, and do what we can, because hunger and food insecurity shouldn’t exist.
We’re a community, and we’re stronger together.

What is Community Meals?

Our family experienced life in a refugee camp when fleeing war, and while we started with very humble beginnings, sharing food together was and continues to be so meaningful to us. Today, our parents still love to cook for us often, as cooking and sharing food continues to be a demonstration of love and care in our family.

Community Meals is about sharing our love for food and lending a helping hand to those in need. We believe community support is a powerful catalyst for change. And plus, growing up, eating out in a restaurant or ordering take-out was also considered a luxury in our family since there wasn’t always extra funds for that type of experience. We understand that it may still be the case for some individuals and families today, yet we do not want that to be a barrier in sharing great food with great people.

Our goal is not to solve food insecurity, but instead, to lend a helping hand. We recognize that food insecurity is a systemic issue that is more than just about food. But sometimes, just having that extra support in a time of need can mean so much. That’s what we’re trying to do.

We’re a community, so let’s eat together.
